Week 6:
This week Mr Hafiz gave us a tutorial on Image Tracing and creating 3D objects. We were given an exercise to make a rainbow and clouds to turn them into 3D visuals:

Week 7:
We were given the chance to continue our work and reviewing with our lecturer

Later on, Ms. Anis briefed us about the MyTiger Competition, which involved selecting a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) from the United Nations website and creating an illustration based on it.
Visual Research
Design Process
After conducting research and reading through the various goals, I decided to choose SDG 11, which focuses on sustainable cities and communities. I found this particular goal to be inspiring and thought it would be enjoyable to work on.
Notes:
My hope is to see a future filled with sustainable infrastructure that not only benefits the environment but also contributes to our well-being. The alarming levels of harmful emissions from vehicles and factories underscore the urgent need for change. In my illustration, I aim to depict a world where we prioritize planting trees, preserving nature, and implementing innovative solutions such as utilizing kinetic energy or solar power.
Notes:
I did my research on posters that were similar to my idea and found these: My first idea was to create tiny buildings and somewhat like a blueprint but with the silhouette of a tiger and it is seen from above as if it is from a satellite view, although after discussing with my lecturer she mentioned it would be difficult given the timeline and amount of practices I must do to create something complicated as this.
Therefore, for my second ideation, I wanted to include a mountain, organic shape of buildings, solar systems and a river.
Figure 1.7 Development Phases of Digitisation
The organic shape buildings are due to the fact that I wanted to create a building that is earthquake-friendly or to prevent earthquake damage, I researched this from my trip to Japan the last time. I went to Osaka and noticed the infrastructure there was different compared to Tokyo. Osaka is a new city and they had built smaller and lower building heights of apartments and malls, they lacked skyscraper buildings and this is to avoid collapse collision from earthquake.
For the tiger competition requirement, I incorporated a silhouette of a tiger onto the "sun" element in my illustration. Additionally, I added a pedestrian and bicycle-friendly pathway to encourage walking as a means of transportation. Envisioning a city with shorter distances between destinations, I positioned the buildings in a way that reflects a similar measurement of distance.
